Sophia Ward , Editor-in-Chief
Sophia Ward is a third-year law student at the University of Miami School of Law and serves as Editor-in-Chief of ICLR. She graduated magna cum laude from Florida State University with a B.S. in Psychology and previously completed a Rotational Judicial Internship in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, where she worked with Chief U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Caryl E. Delano, U.S. District Judge Virginia M. Covington, and U.S. Magistrate Judge Natalie H. Adams. Sophia later externed in the Major Crimes Section of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida and recently worked as a Summer Associate at Jackson Lewis in Orlando, focusing on employment litigation. At Miami Law, she has held several leadership roles, including SBA Historian, 2L Senator, and Dean’s Fellow for both Civil Procedure and Constitutional Law, and she remains involved in numerous student organizations.
Samuel Petosa , Managing Editor
Samuel Petosa is a third-year law student at the University of Miami School of Law and serves as Managing Editor for ICLR. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Journalism and has interned for Judge Bronwyn C. Miller at Florida’s Third District Court of Appeal. Samuel spent two summers as a Summer Associate at Morgan & Morgan in the South Florida Premises Liability group and currently serves as a Dean’s Fellow for Professor Irwin Stotzky’s Elements course.
Olivia Clausen , Executive Editor
Olivia Clausen is a third-year law student at the University of Miami School of Law and an Executive Editor for ICLR. She graduated magna cum laude from Northeastern University with a B.S. in Economics and serves as President of the Environmental Law Society. Olivia has worked with the Miami-Dade County Office of Resilience and the Miami Beach City Attorney’s Office, and she spent this past summer as a Summer Associate at Bercow Radell Fernandez Larkin + Tapanes, where she will return as an Associate after graduation.
Bryan Diaz , Articles Editor
Bryan Diaz is a third-year law student at the University of Miami School of Law and an Articles Editor for ICLR. He earned dual degrees in Economics and Public Administration from the University of Central Florida and is active in the Hispanic Law Students Association, First Generation Law Student Association, and Student Ambassador Program. Bryan has completed internships with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and he worked as a Summer Associate at Kirkland & Ellis in Washington, D.C., where he will return as a tax associate after graduation.
Sam Whitsel , Symposium & Events Editor; Alumni Editor
Sam Whitsel is a third-year law student at the University of Miami School of Law and serves as the Symposium & Events Editor and Alumni Co-Chair for ICLR. She graduated from the University of Virginia with a double major in English and Philosophy and remains active on campus as a Property Dean’s Fellow for Professor Owley and Treasurer of APALSA. Sam previously interned with the Eleventh Judicial Circuit and worked as a Summer Associate in the real estate group at Greenberg Traurig, where she will return after graduation.
Daniel Assor , Senior Notes & Comments Editor
Daniel Assor is a third-year law student at the University of Miami School of Law and a Senior Notes & Comments Editor for ICLR. He is a J.D./LL.M. in Taxation candidate and serves as a Dean’s Fellow for Professor Madeleine Plasencia’s Torts course. Daniel previously worked as a consultant at a FinTech firm and earned his B.S. in Business Administration, cum laude, from Babson College. His legal experience includes an externship with Kawa Capital Management and a summer associate position at Carlton Fields, where he will return after graduation.

Sophia Do is a third-year law student at the University of Miami School of Law and a Senior Notes & Comments Editor for ICLR. Born in New York and raised in Seoul, she is pursuing a joint J.D./LL.M. in Art Law through the EASL Honors Program and earned her undergraduate degree in Art History and French from New York University. Sophia is trilingual in French, Korean, and English and recently worked as a law clerk at the Ciric Law Firm in New York, where she focused on cultural heritage matters, appellate litigation, legal ethics, SEC whistleblower filings, and pro bono work.
Annalee Gunderson , Senior Notes & Comments Editor
Annalee Gunderson is a third-year law student at the University of Miami School of Law and a Senior Notes & Comments Editor for ICLR. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Madison with a B.A. in Journalism and Strategic Communications and is part of the EASL Honors Program. Annalee’s experience includes externships with the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection and Hidden Harbor Capital Partners, and she has worked as a Summer Associate at Shulman Bastian Friedman & Bui in Irvine and Holland & Knight in Miami, where she will join the corporate group after graduation.
Jacob Benchetrit , Articles & Comments Editor; Alumni Editor
Jacob Benchetrit is a third-year law student at the University of Miami School of Law and serves as an Articles & Comments Editor and Alumni Editor for ICLR. He grew up in Aventura, Florida, and will join Bursor & Fisher’s Miami office on the Class Action Team after graduation. Jacob also serves as President of the Jewish Comparative Law Society, Vice President of the Honor Council, and a competitor on the International Moot Court Board.
Chloe Beylus , Articles & Comments Editor; Web Editor
Chloe Beylus is a third-year law student at the University of Miami School of Law and serves as an Articles & Comments Editor and Web Editor for ICLR. She graduated magna cum laude from Florida State University with degrees in Political Science and Psychology and is a Dean’s Merit Scholar, Dean’s List honoree, and recipient of CALI Awards in Civil Procedure, Contracts, and Evidence. Chloe is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator and has gained legal experience through positions at the Leon County Courthouse, Juliana Gaita P.A., and EPGD Business Law. Most recently, she worked as a Summer Associate at Nelson Mullins in Fort Lauderdale, and after graduation she will join the firm’s South Florida Litigation Group.
Nicholas Patricios , Articles & Comments Editor
Nicholas Patricios is a third-year law student at the University of Miami School of Law and an Articles & Comments Editor for ICLR. He earned his B.A. in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin and has completed judicial internships with Judge Migna Sánchez-Llorens in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida and Judge Darrin Gayles in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Most recently, Nicholas worked as a Summer Associate at Fields Howell, where he assisted on complex insurance coverage matters and will return as a full-time associate after graduation.
Andrés Rakower , Articles & Comments Editor
Andrés Rakower is a third-year law student at the University of Miami School of Law and an Articles & Comments Editor for ICLR. He graduated from the University of Central Florida as an Honors in the Major scholar, and his early experiences in Venezuela fostered his commitment to criminal law. Andrés serves as Co-Chair of Advocacy for HOPE’s Public Interest Leadership Board and interns as a Certified Legal Intern at the Broward State Attorney’s Office, where he manages his own misdemeanor caseload. His prior experience includes a judicial internship with Judge David S. Leibowitz and volunteer work in the Felony Trials Unit.
